Mobile

Release notes for the Tapcart mobile app, newest first. Your iOS and Android apps are updated separately, so a change listed here reaches your shoppers once your app on that platform is updated to the version that includes it. Changes that apply to only one platform are marked iOS only or Android only.

v23.2.0 (2026-09-19)

  • New — AppsFlyer now receives add shipping info and add payment info events, filling the gap between checkout initiation and purchase. The shipping step is a custom event, so add it to your AppsFlyer event list before using it for postbacks.
  • Improved — GA4 events now report the product type as item category and the vendor as item brand, and product category is included when an item is removed from the cart.
  • Improved — AppsFlyer purchase and checkout-initiated events now include item-level detail — product name, category, brand, quantity, per-unit price net of discounts, and item revenue — along with the coupon code used.
  • Fixed — Pages keep the shopper's country, language and currency when the app has to recover a page load, so prices stay in the shopper's market currency instead of falling back to US dollars.
  • Fixed — Carts started on your website now sync into the app even when Shopify rejects an individual line, such as a gift item that is not available on the app's sales channel. The remaining items are added instead of the whole cart failing.
  • Fixed — GA4 purchase events now report item prices per unit and net of the line's discount, so item revenue matches the amount the shopper actually paid and the item totals reconcile with the order value.
  • Fixed — AppsFlyer search events are sent once per search instead of once per keystroke, and the search term is reported in AppsFlyer's standard search field.
  • Fixed — Shopper account information is now protected as intended.

v23.1.0 (2026-09-12)

  • New — Recharge subscribers can view their next order, add or remove one-time items, and retry a failed payment from the app. Subscription capability details are now available to blocks so they can adapt to what the provider supports.
  • Improved — Apple Pay express checkout reaches the payment sheet noticeably faster, with fewer steps running between the tap and the sheet appearing. (iOS only)
  • Improved — Carts created in the app now carry an underscore-prefixed cart attribute. Depending on your notification email template, underscore-prefixed cart attributes can appear in order emails.
  • Improved — Google Analytics data is more complete: deep link and push traffic now reports campaign and channel details instead of landing in Unassigned, search reports once per search rather than per keystroke, shipping and payment steps are reported as checkout funnel events, and purchase items carry category, brand, variant and discount.
  • Fixed — Storefront content now uses a language that the shopper's Shopify market actually publishes, so shoppers whose device language is not sold in their market see the market's language instead of untranslated pages. The app's own labels continue to follow the device language or the shopper's saved choice.
  • Fixed — A header centre image with no image selected no longer shows its placeholder label as the screen title on iOS 26, matching how the header renders elsewhere. (iOS only)
  • Fixed — Shoppers who are already signed in go straight to their account when they tap a Sign In destination, instead of being shown a login screen. Shoppers who sign in from one of those destinations are now returned to the app rather than left on a loading spinner.
  • Fixed — Cordial inbox messages and unread counts now load for logged-out shoppers, so messages sent to anonymous contacts appear in the app.
  • Fixed — Order details now show up to 250 line items and their fulfilment lines, so larger orders are no longer cut off after the first ten.
  • Fixed — Opening the app from a Bloomreach push notification or a link no longer crashes on launch. (iOS only)
  • Fixed — Choosing a B2B company location now holds instead of snapping back to the previous selection, including when the cart is still empty.

This release fixes a crash when opening some push notifications on iOS and brings the Cordial inbox to shoppers who are not signed in.

  • Fixed — Opening the app from a Bloomreach push notification no longer crashes it on iOS, and the notification's link opens in the app as intended. (iOS only)
  • Fixed — Shoppers who are not signed in now see their Cordial inbox messages and an up-to-date unread badge.

v23.0.0 (2026-09-01)

  • New — Entry screen conditions can now target first-time app users, so onboarding can show only to shoppers who just installed the app and not to people who already had it.
  • Improved — Tapping the search tab in the iOS 26 tab bar now places the cursor in the search field and opens the keyboard on the first tap, and the tab bar no longer flickers when search opens. (iOS only)
  • Improved — The Cordial message inbox is more reliable: messages, unread counts and message status stay correct across sign-in, sign-out, account changes and returning to the app.
  • Improved — Claimed loyalty rewards keep their reward name and image, so shoppers can still recognize a reward after it is removed from the rewards catalog.
  • Improved — Camera scanning overlays load faster and connect to their block content more reliably.
  • Fixed — Tapping a push notification while the app is closed now opens the linked destination even when the app takes longer to start, instead of landing on Home. A notification that was already opened no longer opens a second time when the app refreshes its content.
  • Fixed — Braze push notifications tapped while the app is closed now open the linked product, collection or page instead of Home. (iOS only)
  • Fixed — Header text and buttons now use the font weight set in the header style, so a bold title looks the same on iOS and Android, including with custom brand fonts.

  • Fixed — Collection pages opened from a push notification link now show their products reliably, even when the page loads before the collection details arrive.
  • Fixed — Clearing the search field in the iOS 26 tab bar now clears the search on the page, so blocks stop showing results for the old term. (iOS only)
  • Fixed — Tapping Send Now on a Recharge subscription more than once now sends a single order.
  • Fixed — LoyaltyLion reward status now stays accurate after a reward is claimed or used at checkout, so rewards a shopper already owns show as ready to apply.
  • Fixed — Swish wishlists now work for shoppers on classic Shopify customer accounts, and saved wishlists no longer appear empty when the app reopens.
  • Fixed — Shoppers on classic Shopify customer accounts stay signed in after updating the app.
  • Fixed — Links that end in a collection followed by products now open the collection instead of closing the app, and short links with a bare collection path open the store page instead of Home.
  • Fixed — Pages no longer reload and lose in-progress input after a system sheet such as Hide My Email, the share sheet or Face ID appears. (iOS only)
  • Fixed — Links to products and collections whose names use non-Latin characters or special symbols now open the correct page with its product details.
  • Fixed — Wallet and bank app buttons inside Shopify checkout, such as iDEAL, now open the installed payment app on Android, or the provider's web page when the app is not installed. (Android only)
  • Fixed — Push notifications no longer disappear from the Android notification tray shortly after they arrive, and the app no longer clears notifications when it opens. On iOS, the app icon badge now matches the number of unread notifications still in Notification Center.

  • Fixed — Tapping a tab in the bottom tab bar selects it again on iOS 27. (iOS only)

  • Fixed — Shoppers signed in with Shopify customer accounts stay signed in as their session renews, and a session that can no longer renew now ends cleanly instead of failing repeatedly in the background.
  • Fixed — Signing in with Shopify customer accounts a second time in the same visit no longer leaves shoppers on a loading screen.
  • Fixed — Sign-in buttons no longer open the login screen for shoppers who are already signed in. Buttons set to go to a page after sign-in take them straight there.
  • Fixed — Loyalty content for customers signed in with Shopify customer accounts no longer waits on a long loading spinner, and loyalty sign-in now renews together with the shopper's session.
  • Fixed — On stores using Swish wishlists, shoppers with a new account now get a default wishlist automatically, so saving an item works right away.

This release fixes Swish wishlists for shoppers with new accounts. A default wishlist is now created for them automatically, so they can save items right away.

v21.8.3 (2026-07-28)

This release fixes previewing draft changes on a device. Draft Preview now shows your unpublished draft on product pages, collection pages and tabbed home screens.

  • Fixed — Draft Preview on Device now shows your unpublished draft on product pages, collection pages and tabbed home screens, instead of the currently published version. This takes effect in the next app store build.

  • New — Subscribers can request an email with a secure link to update the payment method on a subscription, which helps recover failed or expired subscription payments without entering card details in the app.

It also updates the app to the latest platform frameworks.

This release fixes a header flicker on iOS 26 and makes app pages start up more reliably on iOS. Tab badges now show counts above nine, such as 9+ for the inbox.

  • Fixed — On iOS 26, headers set to fill in as shoppers scroll no longer flash or briefly lose their background while scrolling. (iOS only)

  • Fixed — The estimated total in the cart now shows shipping discounts correctly, separate from the merchandise subtotal.
  • Fixed — Apple Pay and checkout tracking no longer crash in some cases during Shopify checkout on iOS. (iOS only)
  • Fixed — The app is less likely to show outdated screen content on a later launch when it could not save the latest app content on the device.

v21.6.0 (2026-06-30)

  • New — Shopify cart links now open in the app, build a cart with the linked items, attributes, discount codes and note, and go straight to checkout without changing the shopper's existing cart. Links marked for the storefront add the items to the shopper's cart and show the cart screen instead.
  • New — Screens can be set so the Android back button steps back through the pages viewed on that screen before leaving it. (Android only)
  • Improved — Screens set to block navigation now stay open when shoppers press back until the screen is released.
  • Improved — Wishlists refresh when shoppers return to the app, so changes made on the web appear without restarting the app.

  • Fixed — The post-purchase screen now shows the complete order, and purchase events sent to analytics integrations include the full line items, prices and quantities.
  • Fixed — On Android devices with three-button navigation, content on full-screen web screens in apps without a bottom tab bar no longer sits behind the status bar or the navigation bar. (Android only)
  • Fixed — Links that open a specific wishlist, or other specific content on a screen that is also a bottom navigation tab, now show that content instead of the tab's default view.
  • Fixed — The iOS 26 Liquid Glass header set to fill with the brand color on scroll now fills in as shoppers scroll the page. (iOS only)
  • Fixed — A thin line no longer appears under solid-color headers on iOS. (iOS only)
  • Fixed — LoyaltyLion guest enrollment completes, and Smile activity history loads for signed-in customers.
  • Fixed — LoyaltyLion social ways to earn, such as following on Instagram, liking on Facebook or visiting a link, now credit points to the shopper.

v21.5.0 (2026-06-22)

This release updates how subscriptions are loaded in the app and adds support for opening the Recharge customer portal already signed in. It also fixes a case where a subscriber could see an empty subscription list.

  • New — Shoppers with Recharge subscriptions can open their Recharge customer portal from the app already signed in, to manage subscriptions, addresses, payment methods, upcoming orders and order history.
  • Fixed — Subscribers no longer get stuck on an empty subscription list when their subscription details change.

v21.4.2 (2026-06-19)

This release fixes tabs that link to pages outside your app layouts. These tabs now load their page instead of showing a blank screen.

  • Fixed — Bottom and top tabs that link to an external page, such as the Shopify customer account page, now load that page instead of showing a blank screen.

v21.4.1 (2026-06-18)

This release fixes a delay on iOS when opening some screens from within a sheet.

  • Fixed — Screens opened from deep inside a stack of sheets, such as a rewards redemption screen, now appear without a long delay. (iOS only)

v21.4.0 (2026-06-17)

This release fixes two display issues. App Studio blocks keep seeing which integrations are turned on, and custom screens on iOS show the correct header background color.

  • Fixed — App Studio blocks that depend on your enabled integrations, such as wishlists and analytics, no longer intermittently behave as if every integration is turned off.
  • Fixed — Custom screens on iOS, such as order details, now show your header background color instead of a white bar over the header. (iOS only)

v21.3.0 (2026-06-16)

This release focuses on reliability and layout for App Studio screens. Content now clears the header, tab bar and device edges correctly, screens recover on their own when they stall while loading, and shoppers no longer get stuck in a reload loop after a brief network error. It also fixes first-tap responsiveness on iOS and delivers shoppers to the right screen after they sign in.

  • Improved — Tab screens are prepared in the background when the app launches, so they open with content instead of loading from blank on first tap. The app also stays open and recovers if the page content process stops unexpectedly. (Android only)
  • Improved — Screens that stall while loading now recover within a fraction of a second, and a screen whose content fails to start on a poor connection reloads itself automatically.
  • Fixed — App Studio screen content now clears the status bar, header, tab bar and device edges correctly, so buttons and fixed blocks are no longer hidden behind the app's navigation or spaced too far from it.
  • Fixed — The first tap on a button or product card now registers, so shoppers no longer need to tap twice. (iOS only)
  • Fixed — Tabbed screens, such as Collections, now keep a solid header when the screen turns off the transparent header, even if the app-wide default is transparent.
  • Fixed — After signing in, shoppers are taken to the destination you configured instead of staying on the current screen.
  • Fixed — A brief network error while refreshing a shopper's session no longer signs them out or makes screens reload repeatedly. Shoppers stay signed in and content stays on screen.

v21.2.0 (2026-06-10)

This release makes app pages load faster and more reliably, and fixes visual issues in checkout and the header. Checkout on Android now looks seamless at the top and bottom of the screen, and the cart badge on iOS 26 stays on the cart icon as shoppers move between screens.

  • Improved — Pages such as product lists, product pages, the inbox, and the side menu now show their content faster when opened. (iOS only)
  • Fixed — Checkout on Android now fills the areas behind the status bar and navigation bar with the checkout colors, so the page behind it no longer shows through. (Android only)
  • Fixed — On iOS 26, the cart badge count stays on the cart icon when shoppers move between screens and no longer appears on the back button or menu icon. (iOS only)
  • Fixed — App pages connect to the app more reliably at launch, reducing cases where a screen stays blank or stuck on loading placeholders.

v21.1.0 (2026-06-04)

This release improves how apps load and recover, and refines transparent headers on iOS 26. Carts now clear after Apple Pay purchases in checkout, prices show in the correct currency on every page, and apps recover better from slow networks at launch and from low-memory conditions.

  • New — On iOS 26, transparent headers now show a clean Liquid Glass blur by default, with options for a brightness-matched glass, a fully see-through header, or a header that fills with the brand color as shoppers scroll. (iOS only)
  • Improved — Pages recover more smoothly after the device runs low on memory, avoiding blank screens when shoppers return to a tab or page.
  • Fixed — The cart now empties reliably after a shopper pays with Apple Pay inside checkout, and the order confirmation screen appears as expected. (iOS only)
  • Fixed — Prices now show in the shopper's selected currency on every page, including tabs and pages that open instantly.
  • Fixed — The app retries loading its configuration after a brief network interruption at launch instead of staying on the splash screen.
  • Fixed — The first page opened after launching the app, such as the inbox, no longer stays stuck on loading placeholders. (iOS only)

v21.0.0 (2026-05-29)

This release brings the iOS 26 header closer to the classic header, with a centered logo, matching spacing, themed titles and tap haptics. It adds subscription swaps with plan changes, lets checkout skip the password page on password-protected stores, and makes screens recover to a working page instead of staying blank when loading fails. It also fixes Klaviyo notifications that did not appear on Android while the app was open.

  • New — Blocks can now unlock a password-protected Shopify storefront ahead of checkout, so shoppers no longer land on the store password page inside checkout.
  • New — Subscription blocks for Recharge can now swap the subscribed product and, in the same step, change quantity, next charge date, delivery and billing frequency, or price.
  • Improved — Scrolling and screen transitions on iOS are smoother, with fewer dropped frames. (iOS only)
  • Improved — Page layouts now load through a faster native path on both iOS and Android, which speeds up screen loads.
  • Fixed — Firebase Analytics page views now include a screen name, so screens are reported separately in Google Analytics instead of under one generic name.
  • Fixed — Radar now keeps each shopper's location profile accurate, and Radar events now include the app version.
  • Fixed — Resolves a crash that could occur when certain push notifications arrived, and prevents push notification conflicts in apps that use MoEngage. (iOS only)
  • Fixed — On iOS 26 with the glass effect turned off, the header now matches the classic header: the logo is centered, icons are spaced as before, and badge styling such as position, size and border is applied. (iOS only)
  • Fixed — Klaviyo push notifications now appear on Android when the app is open. (Android only)
  • Fixed — On iOS 26, page titles in the header now use your app's title color and size from the first moment, without a brief color flash. (iOS only)
  • Fixed — Tapping header items on iOS 26 now gives haptic feedback, matching the rest of the app. (iOS only)
  • Fixed — The header and spacing now display correctly in full-screen modal screens, including collection pages opened inside them.
  • Fixed — If a screen's layout fails to load or render, the app now shows the standard version of the page instead of a blank screen.

v20.19.8 (2026-05-27)

This release corrects how applied gift cards appear in the cart and at checkout review.

  • Fixed — Applied gift cards now show the correct amount used instead of an invalid value in cart price lines and order overview blocks.

v20.24.0 (2026-05-23)

This release expands Recharge subscription management with upcoming orders, order history, pausing and product swaps. It fixes several header and tab bar display issues on iOS 26, makes navigation faster, and resolves cart, sign-in, wishlist and inbox problems that could leave shoppers stuck.

  • New — Subscription blocks for Recharge can now show upcoming orders and past order history, pause and resume a subscription, swap the subscribed product, and pass extra options when rescheduling. Subscription data also loads with fewer repeated requests.
  • Improved — Moving between screens is faster on iOS 26, and the back button now follows your app's header icon color when no header tint is set. (iOS only)
  • Improved — Page layouts are now delivered to screens without passing through the app's main processing thread, which keeps the app responsive while screens load.
  • Fixed — On iOS 26, product and collection screens with no configured header title now show the page title, matching Android. (iOS only)
  • Fixed — Header icons that carry a badge, such as the cart, now display in the header color set in your app's design instead of their original icon color. (iOS only)
  • Fixed — Bottom tab bar icons now use your app's selected and unselected tab colors, so unselected tabs no longer appear blank or gray. (iOS only)
  • Fixed — Tab bar badges, such as a cart count on a tab, now appear when the badge value is written with surrounding braces.
  • Fixed — Resolves an iOS crash that could occur when an in-app page tried to open certain non-web links. (iOS only)
  • Fixed — Background sign-in for Shopify Multipass stores completes reliably instead of occasionally timing out.
  • Fixed — The cart now recovers automatically when an item or the cart itself is no longer valid, for example after a completed checkout, so shoppers are no longer stuck unable to change their cart. This also works for stores in languages other than English.
  • Fixed — Inbox and wishlist blocks no longer stay on loading placeholders after the app opens.
  • Fixed — Shoppers' saved wishlists now appear right after they sign in, instead of showing as empty until the next launch.

v20.19.7 (2026-05-21)

This release fixes a crash on iOS when shoppers open the app from a push notification in apps that use MoEngage, and improves location updates on iOS for apps that use Radar, for shoppers who allowed location access at all times.

  • New — The app name shown under the icon on the iOS home screen can now differ from the App Store listing name. (iOS only)
  • Fixed — Opening the app from a push notification no longer crashes on iOS in apps that use MoEngage. MoEngage push click and impression tracking keeps working. (iOS only)
  • Fixed — Apps that use Radar now receive background location updates on iOS for shoppers who allowed location access at all times, as on Android. (iOS only)

  • New — Klaviyo geofencing is now supported, with the location permission prompts it needs on iOS and Android.

It also includes layout and web page loading fixes.

  • Improved — The app launches faster: the splash screen no longer waits for account and loyalty details to refresh, and loyalty details load in parallel.

  • Fixed — Pages no longer flash blank while loading, and sign-in flows that open a separate page return their result reliably to the page that started them.
  • Fixed — Carts created for new sessions now use the store's default country and currency instead of the shopper's device region when that region is not available in the app.
  • Fixed — Moving quickly between product pages no longer briefly shows the previous product before the new one appears.

v20.7.0 (2025-12-15)

  • New — Swym wishlists can run in single-wishlist mode, so shoppers save items to one default list instead of managing several lists.
  • New — Rivo loyalty programs can show Instagram follow and Facebook like activities, and completed activities are recorded with their own activity type.
  • Improved — The app now picks a shopper's country, language and currency from the markets your Shopify store supports. It uses the shopper's saved or device country when you sell there, and falls back to your store's default locale when you do not.
  • Improved — The app launches noticeably faster, and the splash screen closes sooner. (iOS only)
  • Improved — Custom blocks now receive a readable error message when an app action fails, instead of an empty error.

  • Fixed — Bottom tab labels now show the titles you set, or stay hidden when titles are turned off, instead of showing an internal screen identifier.
  • Fixed — The Klaviyo Subscribed to Push event is now sent once, when a shopper first allows notifications, instead of repeating each time the device's push token changes.
